Filtration Media

Galway Water Solutions now stock a wide range of specialist filtration medias.  We sell pallet and half pallet quantities to the trade, also filter medias by the sack along with assembled back wash and brining type filter systems.  As with all specialist medias, a full Audit HSE analysis is required for application of the media to the source water, along with hands on experience, extended training, relevant qualifications and a good all round knowledge of water treatment systems and their installation.

The minimum water chemistry parameters needed to be assessed for most medias are ;

pH level, iron in ug/l, manganese in ug/l, total hardness mg/l, total alkalinity mg/l, colour mg/l, turbidity NTU, odour, also a range of other relevant factors depending on the media.

Calcite - Calcium carbonate based pH neutralising and Langelier balancing media.

Corrosex - Magnesium carbonate based pH neutralising and Langelier balancing media.

Carbon - Calgon acid washed and standard grade granular activated carbons.

Cation Resins - A range of high quality Rohm & Haas, Bayer, Indion, ResinTech and Dowex resins.

Anion Resins - A range of high quality anion resins for tannin removal and organic scavenging.

KDF 85 - A very specialist media - requires full training for experienced operators.

KDF 55 - A very specialist media - requires full training for experienced operators.

Birm - Iron and manganese removal media - A very specialist media - requires full training for experienced operators.

Pyrolox - Iron, manganese, sulphur removal media - A very specialist media - requires full training for experienced operators.

Greensand Plus - Iron, manganese, sulphur removal - A very specialist media - requires full training for experienced operators.

Zeolite - Iron, manganese, hardness, ammonia and minor pH correction - A very specialist media - requires full training for experienced operators.

Garnet - A high quality multi-mesh under bedding for uniform bed diffusion.

Filter Sand - A high quality filtration sand for sediment and particulate removal.

Filter AG - A high quality filtration media for classified sediment and particulate removal.
